Lot 2760
1869. $2 Legal Tender Rainbow Note. F-42. Choice About Uncirculated. . Fr-42. This scarce note is always popular with type and other specialists for the vibrant green, red and black ink on the front. Jefferson's portrait is on the left, with the Capitol Building at the center surrounded by pedestrians and horse carriages. Nice margins with the bottom one only a bit tight. This is a star note, with serial number U952848*, which adds even more to the appeal and rarity.
